PHOENIX – January 5, 2011 –
From a field of more than 600 eligible horses
entered in Farnam’s first SuperMask II
Supermodel contest, 12 semi-finalists lined up
at the starting gate when the voting began.
During the month the polls were open, voting was
very brisk. In the end, Zahn RA walked away with
the prize – a starring role in the SuperMask®
II Horse Fly Mask with Shimmer Weave™ Mesh
Color Collection 2011 advertising campaign.
“The response to the SuperMask II
Supermodel contest far exceeded our
expectations,” said Chris Jacobi, senior vice
president of Farnam Horse Products. “We were
delighted to have the ability to engage so
directly with our customers throughout the
launch of the new SuperMask® II with Shimmer
Weave® Mesh Color Collection.”
Zahn RA is a three year old 14.3 hh chestnut
15/16th Arabian colt bred and owned by Judith E.
Cashwell of Eastville, Va. He has a distinctive
star on his forehead and partial socks and
stockings. His sire is Exxon, the palomino son
of multi-National Champion Park Horse High
Hopes++/ and his dam is SR Baskability, a
multiple US National Winner producing daughter
of MHR Nobility out of a *Bask++ daughter.
Cashwell has been involved with breeding
horses all her life. As a second generation
breeder, Cashwell managed the family's southern
division of Baileraghnaill Arabians for twelve
years before pursuing her own dreams. Cashwell
said she’s been on foal watch for as long as
she can remember with her mother’s mares and
produced her first foal in 1986.
“I grew up with Arabians,” said Cashwell,
“Although I was exposed to a lot of other
breeds, there is something more personable with
the Arabians; they are very people oriented . .
. possibly having something to do with the
Bedouins keeping their prize war mare in their
tents.”
In addition to being a successful breeder of
Arabians, Cashwell spent eleven years in the
show ring competing in Halter, Costume,
Equitation, Jumping, English Pleasure and
gymkana events.
“I really had fun with the contest; it gave
me the opportunity to reconnect with friends
I’ve not spoken to since I was in the show
ring,” Cashwell said. “It was a great chance
to network with some incredible friends who
helped get the word out about Zahn being in the
contest.”
As the winner of the SuperMask II Supermodel
Contest, Zahn RA will play a starring role in

retail value of $1,000. The eleven runners-up
